IV. Reports from Senate Standing Committee Chairs
A. Academic Policies
No report.
B. Facilities & Support Services & Library
No report.
C. Faculty Matters
The Summer School Lab Compensation motion might have opposition at the Senate
meeting. The question was raised whether it would affect this year’s summer
school session. It was stated that, if the motion passes, it should be implemented
immediately. It was noted that the summer school program needs a complete review,
along with a review of the Memorandum of Understanding to determine whether
the document’s policies are being held to by the administration. It was
agreed that adequate compensation for lab instructors shouldn’t be held
up until there is time to review the entire process.
Time permitting, Marty De Nys will also make an announcement on the status of
the Faculty Evaluation of Administrators at the Senate meeting.
D. Nominations
The Committee will present a slate of nominees for the Midterm Grading Task
Force at the Senate meeting this afternoon.
E. Organization & Operations
No report.
V. New Business
There was no new business.
VI. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 12:38 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Debi Siler
Clerk, Faculty Senate
